Windows live mail keeps downloading emails without asking.

I recently installed windows live mail. Was previously using OE.

I monitor my emails through mailwasher, then only download the ones I want to keep/see the pictures/need and delete the ones I don't want.
Simple and it works for me.

Since installing windows live mail I find that it keeps downloading (or syncing)without being asked.

Tools>Options>check for new messages every x minutes is unticked.

I suspected it may be checking my emails when I sent one, or at startup but that is not the case.

I'm finding it rather annoying.

Any solutions?

Wonder why it is that no matter what forum I go to, find the problem that I have already posted by someone, that there is NEVER a reply or solution by anyone? !!!
