Windows live mail can't retain password

Feb 12, 2009 10:39PM PST

I have Windows live mail on a pc with Windows XP. I have multiple email addresses. Each time I sign in I must re-enter each password even though I checked the box to remember my password. How can I get Windows live mail to remember all the passwords?

Are they 'Live' accounts?

This complaint was given back on MSN Mail days. It was a feature implemented by MS and not a bug.

Try using other than Live accounts next time.

What email do you suggest other than Windows live accounts?

It appears they finally allow it.

BTW, gmail works fine here. SMTP, IMAP, the whole alphabet of protocols it seems.

Not sure if this helps

"Windows Live Mail will only sign
in to a Windows Live account if you opted to allow it. If you subsequently
change your mind, you can disallow it. Tools | Options | Connection: The
section labeled, "Connecting to Windows Live services". Click on the, "Stop
signing in" button."

I use Windows Live Mail and it works fine...no signing in at all.

I don't sign in to the Windows Live Account.
