Question

Windows Live Mail Address Contact Groups

Nov 19, 2014 2:52AM PST

Ever since I updated my Essentials Software, my address groups have stopped working. The groups still exist but they are no longer populated with addresses. I have repopulated them several times and they work for one mailing but then disappear again. Seems like every time Microsoft upgrades their software something becomes a problem. This is a perfect example. What am I doing wrong?

That's clear: running Windows Live Mail.
Why not start using Thunderbird?

It worked fine until I re-installed it. Typical Microsoft. When they finally figure out how to do email they change ("improve") it and it goes to hell

Afraid to jump into new mail client (TBird). Plus, it doesn't get good reviews in PCWorld. Can I Xfer address book, archivess, etc from WLM to Tbird?

Found that WLM is lacking when it comes to groups and such. Unless you can convince MSFT to upgrade or improve this, it's time to try Thunderbird or other email apps.
