You simply need to re-add your account as IMAP, then all of your messages will be downloaded. After the download, you can delete your old account. Follow the steps:
1. Open your Live Mail,
2. Go to account and then click on the + symbol to create a new account.
3. Enter Email address and password. Then click on "Manually Configure Server Settings". Click Next.
4. Find the server settings here
5. Enter the settings as described in the link and then your click finish. Your emails should start downloading now.
6. You can delete the old account now. And see that your issue has been fixed.
