Question

Windows Live mail

Oct 19, 2015 3:51PM PDT

When opening WLM, I recently started getting the message "Recovering Windows Live Mail Data base". and then discovered I cant empty the Sent, Junk and Deleted folders using the default "Empty his folder option" I at times can delete a group by highlighting and then using Delete. This may work a couple times then I get a "An unknown error has occurred" If left standing another box opens saying "Deleting Messages" but no apparent action. This also happens if I try deleting one line at a time. Ive tried several possible solutions even uninstalled essentials and reinstalled but didn't help. Just duplicated the same problems. I'm now desperate. Any help would be appreciated....

...I exported all my email and contacts, then uninstalled & reinstalled WLM. I don't know if your situation will allow you to do that, but that's what has worked for me in the past. I currently have 2893 messages in my inbox, and so far so good. I'm using Windows 7 mainly, but it also works with everything from Vista to 10.

Good luck.
