Windows Live lost all my gmail upon start up.

by JGerbase / November 1, 2011 6:45 PM PDT

Hello all,
I started using Windows Live 2011. Upon start up I supplied my pop mail server gmail account info plus pass word. Immediately it start downloading my huge e-mail from gmail. After some hours downloading I went to MS Live Mail and found all my gmail imported email was not there. The folders were but not the e-mail. I checked my gmail account and all the email was gone from gmail. Can I restore my email in either Live Mail or gmail?

Thanks Ken,
I've been to this page and set things up accordingly. Live mail never asked me to adjust these settings upon start up but checking the settings they were set to retain copies at gmail. Unfortunately that did not happen.

The issue for me is that folk bring me only their problems and given I see so many issues with the Live titles I don't use any of them.

Maybe it's time to try Thunderbird?

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
