General discussion

Windows Live does not send when requested

Mar 2, 2010 8:32AM PST

After finishing mail, I click on 'send'
Then I look in 'sent' messages and there is no record of this message.
Then I exit windows live and a message asks if I want to send outgoing message!
This asinine!

Is there a tool for options or preferences?

Running Windows 7 Pro.

The difference...

-> The webmail interface is what you get by opening your web browser and visiting hotmail.com, mail.live.com, etc.
-> The desktop client is a program that you download that specifically handles email, contacts, RSS feeds, etc.

-> The webmail interface is available on any computer, but only gives you access to your Hotmail accounts.
-> The desktop client is only available where you install it, but can be used for all of your email accounts, from all providers.

Hope this helps,
John
