windows installer acting goofie

This thing is driving me crazy I think its some kind of malware but nothing has showed up in my scans for about 8 months now that has been related. I all ready have enough on my plate trying to get my desktop back up to speed.

Okay so this is what happens at any random given moment a window labeled windows installer pops up with no mention of what it is installing then say please wait while configures scan then finds nothing and asks for a specific location and by default the location it has is 1. some one please help, am looking forward to answering questions and figuring this out.
