run the usual suite of anti-spyware software.
Check the task manager to see what is running at startup to use memory.
It may be swap space is too low if you have filled up your "C" drive. It is a form of memory.
When my computer (Windows SE) boots, right before its just completely up, this big box pops up that says "Windows Help can't load because of low memory. Shut down 1 or more programs and try again". It has a "OK" button, if you click the button it closes. Also the box has a large red X in it. I have searched MS knowledge base and there is nothing remotely close. The only thing I can figure is Help is corrupted and needs reinstalled but can't figure out how. If I open Help, it works. The only thing I have loading is Virus protection software. I'm sure I have enough memory. This is nothing but very annoying.
