Windows framework.net installation successful, or was it?

Jul 13, 2007 11:28PM PDT

The update for framework.net was successful on my computer. For those trying to download, I wouldn't bother just yet. After the install I had to do a system restore to before its install. It seems that if you own a laptop, you will no longer be able to go into stand-by mode when clossing the laptop. Just an FYI for those trying to get the install to work.

Note: The one installed on my computer was framework.net ver 1.1 SP1

but I have those now. I was just stating that it is possible that if you do finally get it downloaded you will have problems with it. I checked under my add/remove and I have all those listed. When I got the update. It just made my compter not shut down into stand-by. I have been emailing back and forth with a woman at microsoft help center who is convinced I had this problem BEFORE the update was installed, but I didn't. The only way I can go into stand by is to roll back the computer to the day before the update was installed.

Oh, and you were right, I didn't get asked to install the same update over and over like others have because I had all of that stuff already. I just couldn't go into stand-by after the download.
