Apr 4, 2004 7:17PM PDT

Hi all,i have an acer laptop which is running windows me,when i start up computer it boots up ok but the windows folder is always left open when boot up is complete and i have to close it using the x at the top corner of folder.
This has only happened recently and after closing the folder everything is fine until next start up.

When ever you notice anything that is 'new' or 'just started happening', an easy fix is to use system restore and go back a week (or so) and see if the problem goes away. If you go back in time and the problem doesn't go away or if you are unhappy with the results, you can easily reverse the process and return to your current state. Any installations of programs will need to be reinstalled (if you chose to go back in time), but your data will not be effected.

Please note that this will not address the problem, but it is an easy workaround.
