Windows explorer error message

by trlampley23 / January 20, 2016 2:09 PM PST

Running Win 7 64 bit on Asus G60jx - Keep getting "The properties of this item are not available" every time I click on the properties button for any of my hard drives, but I can get the properties for files without any problems. Please Help. I'm afraid if this goes on the system will crash.

This is not uncommon after registry cleaners.

I got your reply and went to the link you provided. I had tried most of the fixes already, so I tried all the rest that were in the link. Nothing worked until I got to the very last one. I copied the code to notepad, saved the text file then changed .txt to .reg and ran it. BAZINGA !!! You saved me from having to reinstall Windows and all my programs. THANK YOU,THANK YOU,THANK YOU, I can not Thank You enough !

After registry cleaner use. It's pretty rare so that's why I hunted for one with the registry entries. Glad it worked.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
