Windows error messages

Hi I am running windows 2000 pro, and for some reason when I go to my printer it's not showing that it is installed. I checked the event viewer and i get this message "The Print Spooler service terminated unexpectedly. It has done this 2 time(s). The following corrective action will be taken in 0 milliseconds: No action." is their anything I can do to stop the spooler from stopping on it's own.

All one can do is research and find more information about the machine, service packs, driver updates as well as being spyware free.
