Windows Error Message

Jan 2, 2015 6:58AM PST

After about a week of frustrating computer glitches and technical issues with my newly self-built PC I got a new error and decided to post it here to see if there are any suggestions for what's wrong/what I can do to fix it.

Error Message (popped up after Windows restarted and "configured" some updates):

Problem signature:
Problem Event Name: BlueScreen
OS Version: 6.1.7601.2.1.0.768.3
Locale ID: 1033

Additional information about the problem:

BCP4: 0000000000000000
OS Version: 6_1_7601

Files that help describe the problem:
C:\Windows\Minidump\010215-32666-01.dmp
C:\Users\Thomas\AppData\Local\Temp\WER-41277-0.sysdata.xml

Other errors include a blue screen with error code at the bottom:
STOP: 0x0000001A (0x00000000041790 and some more numbers after that.

Googled that and found out it's a memory/RAM issue, here is my complete computer build/specs:

Answer
That's cutting it too close on the power.

http://www.legitreviews.com/amd-radeon-r9-290-4gb-video-card-review_127216/12 puts a total system load of close to 500 Watts. For stability we want to keep the highest load to about 50% of the PSU rating.

That's 1 thing.

Read http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/radeon-r9-290x-thermal-paste-efficiency,3678.html about the next issue. Given so many issues can occur as this tops out, I advise to get this done.

The 41790 is seen in this YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IMYUiYqPpU8

Is the BIOS current? Z97-A BIOS 2012
Did you try it with a single stick of RAM?
