Windows Edge

I just turned my computer on. It upgraded itself /configured itself to windows edge. All of my favorites are gone and NOTHING works to get them back. That was annoying enough. But what has set me off is ALL OF MY PICS, MUSIC, DOCUMENTS AND VIDEOS ARE GONE !!!! *** !!!!!! How do I get them back or am I screwed ??

I had to re-load iTunes hoping it would search my computer for music. When I did, the computer needed to restart to finish the install. when I restarted. Everything was back. Same desktop, music, pics, videos, documents and better yet......NO WINDOWS EDGE. This was weird. !!!!
