Windows DVD Maker freezes

Apr 27, 2009 3:10AM PDT

A friend's daughter filmed a video for a school project, loaded the video onto her HP computer running Vista Home Premium and then edited it with Windows Movie Maker. When she tries to burn a DVD, using Windows DVD Maker, it repeatedly freezes everytime it reaches 41%. Tried different settings including quality settings all with the same results. Any help would be appreciated.

No difference, still won't work

I rebooted the system then set the burn speed to 'slowest'. It had been set on 'fastest'. When I tried to burn the disc, it again ended at 41% with a pop-up that read "Cannot create the DVD" followed by a line of text that read "unspecified error". It did not give me an opportunity to try to check for corrupt drivers.
