Windows DVD Maker

Jul 16, 2010 6:09AM PDT

I tried using Windows DVD Maker to burn a movie (public domain). It burned the movie but when I played it on my tv there was no sound. Also it put today's date in the top left corner all during the movie.

Any suggestions? Any other program recommended?

Thank you.

WTV Windows Recorded TV Show
Jul 16, 2010 7:07AM PDT

The file that I want to burn is a .WTV Windows Recorded TV Show. Maybe that will clarify things. I used a program to change it to WMV but still have problems burning it. I would really prefer to burn it from the .WTV file and not take the 2nd stop changing it to WMV.

Any assistance is much appreciated. Thank you

Completed Movie Smaller Than Original
Jul 17, 2010 4:11AM PDT

I finally found a decent DVD Burner Program. All is working ok except the finished movie that I burned seems slightly smaller than the original as far as filling up the screen. I used 4.3 aspect ratio and then was given the choices of: Letterbox, Pan and Scan and Stretched. Stretched looked strange so I tried Letterbox. But Letterbox made the movie slightly smaller. Any suggestions.

Completed Burn Project Slightly Smaller Than Original
Jul 17, 2010 4:14AM PDT

I am using Windows 7 and SoThink Movie DVD Maker.

Also using 4.3 aspect ratio and was given the choices of: Letterbox, Pan and Scan and Stretch. Stretch looked strange so I tried Letterbox and it looks good but came out smaller than the original movie that I recorded from my TV Tuner.

Any suggestions.

Large Black Borders Around TV Screen

In addition when playing the movie on the tv there are large black borders around the screen. What settings on the burn program can I change to make the movie larger and the black borders smaller.
