Question

Windows drivers..

Apr 9, 2016 7:42AM PDT

Hi all, I have been given a hp Compaq dc 5100 sff with Win XP PRO. I'm thinking of upgrading it to Win 7 Home Premium. As far as I can tell it's all standard with an 80gb SATA hdd. I have already Googled my question and found a few issues with audio and video drivers for Win 7 for this model HP. What I want to know is, are the drivers now available for Win 7 upgrade? Otherwise what audio/video upgrades are available for the dc5100? Have read about using Vista drivers so I would imagine using Vista OS would be easier but never got on with Vista... Thanks for any help!

I take it you checked the HP site for your model so that means HP didn't add them.

The other comments about Vista drivers is that you try the Vista driver in Windows 7. Be sure to use the 32 bit Windows 7 if the drivers are 32 bit.

That machine may only have 512MB of ram.
So plan on bumping that to at least 2GB and 4GB would be better.
