Question

windows defender

I have windows 8 with windows defender, and it runs auto scan every day. im trying to disable auto scan. I go to task scheduler and disable it, but somehow it enables it self back up can any body help it will be greatly appreciated

But I did install another anti-virus so maybe that's why.

Keep in mind that those security researchers are slamming MSFT, Adobe and others so in defense the software makers are paddling hard and turning everything on by default.

Yes, it may be a bug but since we see these makers un-responsive to us, maybe try another anti-virus?

installed Norton 360 and have it scheduled to scan on Wednesdays at 3:00 am. I wouldn't disable auto scan. I would schedule it at 3:00 at least once a week.

I had Norton already, and I had to uninstall it cuz it was running my hard drive like a marathon. it wasn't giving my hdd a break so I uninstalled it.
