Windows Auto Update Keeps Turning Off

by corky5169 / August 19, 2006 7:45 AM PDT

I hope that I can explain this correctly. I have been running Windows XP SP2 with both Norton Systemworks and Norton Firewall. Everything has been running just fine and then started having probs just recently. I have updated and scanned for viruses, and everything is OK. No matter how many times I turn on Windows Auto Update, in a few seconds it will turn itself back off. My granddaughter was on when first started so don't know exactly what happened. Any help would be most appreciated.

Thanks for responding. Whether I turn Auto Update on thru Control Panel, Norton Systemworks, Norton Firewall, through Properties window, etc., after I click the "Apply" and then "Ok" it will temporarily show that it is on and then Norton Security pops up and says it is off within seconds.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
