Windows 98 se Startup Menu

Feb 6, 2004 3:17PM PST

Whilst my pc is booting, it shows me three identical lines of text as follows, C:\rem - By Windows 98 Network - C:\Windows\net start
This line is repeated twice more, and I assume it is caused by my home network, which is a simple Cat 5 crossover. Is this assumption correct, please?

NT -- It means you have an 'Autoexec.bat' file being processed at Startup.

Yes, or the entire file if that is everything.

If I read your information correctly, the C:\ is the command prompt portion of the display and is not file information. The remaining information is the line information for processing from the file. If all three lines look like the following, they are being displayed but nothing is being processed simply because of the rem entry that negates everything following:

rem - By Windows 98 Network - C:\Windows\net start
- Collapse -
NT: That is the case. Thanks, Cowboy.
