Question

Windows 98 Memory Prob

Hello I have a server with 6 GB of Ram and it wont run with the Memory below 4 GB and I know I should use The Server dedicated Os's but I want to use 98 because I have already perchised it I installed it allready but It Gets an Error saying There is Too much memory installed.

Something about you can't do this.

Did you try running Windows 98 in VirtualBox in Linux? That works. I've done that for years.

I reduced it to 4 GB of RAM didn't work. I don't have a degree in computers so i can't run linux
and to run Virtual box you need and operating system that turns on to use it.

Most I know just want it to work. You have other choices today. Such as BSD and others. In fact any of the OSes that VirtualBox or other VMs.

I bought it a while ago in 1999 for 100.00$. I think you can buy it now for about 15$
