while i'm using my computer. an image appears with shapes and the words defrag of drive c. It looks like a windows prompt but i'm not certain what it is . I'm wondering is there something I an do.
This doesn't seem like a real Windows message at all. Does it only come when you're doing something special or does it come at random occasions?
Can you tell the exact and full message?
Things to do:
- Boot into Safe Mode, run scandisk and defrag (won't harm, but I don't believe for a moment it will help)
- Scan your system with Adaware, Spybot and at least one on-line antivirus. See http://reviews.cnet.com/5208-7813-0.html?forumID=44&threadID=44242&messageID=522132 for the antivirus, http://www.lavasoftusa.com/support/download/ for the freeware version of adaware and http://www.safer-networking.org/en/download/ for spybot. For both last products, run an update of their definitions before your scan.
Hope this helps and let us know.
