I have yet to find a tweak that will do exactly that. But I can change the default folder but it can't track and change as each file is opened. I've tried this on 95 and while it does it once the next time it's loopy. So there was not nirvana in 95.
So there's my answer. "Sort of."

Hi There I have a friend who has his own business and has had a computer running Windows 95 and Works Version 3 for the past 8 years that I know of. He is getting on a bit and does not like change but the old computer gave up the ghost and he had to purchase a second hand one. The "new" computer is running windows XP SP2 fully updated and works Version 7. I have tried to set his files up the same as the old one which was "My Documents\Fresh Engineering\invoices\Abbot Heating\Blank.xlr" he has more than Abbot heating for customers but for this question I have only selected the first customer folder "Abbot Heating" As you can see the works spread sheet "Blank.xlr" is in the Abbot Heating folder he has a copy of this file in all his Customers folders which to save time he has entered all the customer details in each one. The problem is when he opens the Blank.xlr from say Abbot Heating and enters the details of the job he wants to save it under a different name so when he clicks "Save As" It opens His My Documents Folder and he has to physically navigate to \Fresh Engineering\invoices\Abbot Heating\ to save the invoice where he wants it. On Windows 95 and works Version 3 when he opened the Blank document and went to save as it atomically opened up the folder it came from so he didn?t have to navigate through different folders to get back to Abbot Heating where he wants to save their particular invoices and all he had to do was rename the file with the new file name. Although this would be no problem to most of us he is making my life a misery keeping on about it. Is there any way to sort XP out to act like Windows 95 Save As command so it will save in the same folder he opened it up in or will I have to keep hearing the fact that his new computer is not as intelligent as his old one "his words not mine" Sorry this has been a long post but many thanks to all who try to answer this.
Kindest Regards Tony B.
