Windows 95 problem

by ZMikeyZ / January 24, 2006 12:55 AM PST

Windows 95
Compaq Presario 4532
200 mhz
3gig hard drive
64mb RAM

Problem has developed lately. Top right corner buttons are now O, 2, r. should be _, (enlarge, shrink), and an X.

What happened? Also where you check the little boxes for anything are gone, and just fuzzy very small icons.

How can I fix these problems? I went to properties but don't see how I can fix the upper right buttons.

The Marlett Font
by ZMikeyZ / January 24, 2006 1:12 PM PST

R. Proffitt you are right! I'm missing my Marlett font. How I don't know, but it is missing. I have the quickrestore CD and followed instructions from a site to extract the cab that the marlett is in, but it keeps asking me for a password. I tried the only "password" that I have and that is the product ID number that came with the book. That doesn't work. I don't have a password on my computer, so I have no idea on how to extract the marlett file. Any sugguestions? I don't want to restore the computer because I have too much stuff on it.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
