Question

Windows 8 photos app issue-please help

Mar 6, 2015 6:18AM PST

Hello everyone,

So recently I changed the location of my pictures folder from my SSD drive to my hard drive to conserve space. After which I deleted the pictures from in the SSD drive, but to my surprise the pics on the hard drive were deleted as well.

Since then I lost all hope in retrieving them and moved on. However I keep seeing the photos scrolling in the photo app when i press the windows button like they were never deleted, but when i open the app there is nothing there.

I'm thinking there is a temporary copy of the pictures somewhere in one of the drives and that's why the app keeps showing them, but I don't know how or where to get them.

your help is very appreciated

Thank you

It can find any photos you've not overwritten yet. They would still be there, just have their location removed from the file system.

the recycle bin? You you didn't you can restore from within the Recycle Bin. Do you have sync to Onedrive turned on or off? They could also be on Onedrive.
