Question

Windows 8 Metro games - system specifications

Oct 2, 2014 5:46AM PDT

I'm a complete Windows 8 Newbie.

I have a touchscreen Toshiba Windows 8.1 laptop and I'd like to download games from the Windows store Metro app, my question is this:

How do I know if my laptop will support the games featured?
My laptop has moderate specs and, specifically, I'm wondering if it'll support GTA San Andreas.

Is there any way of checking required specs for metro games?

Thanks

Answer
A "Metro" game.

It looks like a Windows PC game. This came out in 2005 so requirements look pretty low even with the Metro interface. Should be fine.

Thanks.... so to clarify....

So you're saying that metro is basically just a different (touch optimized) GUI? Whatever's purchased / downloaded / accessed via the metro interface or windows store will be the same "under the hood" as that purchased / downloaded / accessed via Windows desktop? So in this case I just need to search for "system requirements" to find out what spec the game needs to play?

The game requirement look light.

And the fact the game came out so long ago helps.

I would dig deeper but I missed where you revealed the exact model of the Toshiba.
