Question

windows 8 BSOD

Oct 11, 2013 10:54PM PDT

My Dell PC with Windows 8 started acting up. Internet explorer was open, and it started flickering and jumping around. I rebooted, and now all I have is the start screen, but everything I click just brings up the red taskbar. Nothing will run. I can't do anything. What to do?

Hi cballin003,

This issue can be caused by a corrupted or missing system file caused by virus or malware infection..

Suggestion:

Run advance virus removal scan. I would suggest http://www.surfright.nl/en/hitmanpro/ and http://www.eset.com/ph/home/products/online-scanner/ , These tools doesn't need to be installed.

Restart your computer in clean boot.
steps:
1. Go to search on your charms bar and type "MSCONFIG" and select settings.
2. On the msconfig window, select "selective startup" uncheck where it says load startup items.
3. Go to the services tab and check on the box for "Hide all microsoft services".
4. click apply and restart the computer.

If the issue still recur, perform a computer refresh or reset.
