For some odd reason a rash of Seagate HDD failures. The owners all thought it was the update but cloning the drive (most used that 50 buck WD laptop drive, 500GB) fixed it. To make matters more odd, the Seagate passed the maker's diagnostics but failed other tests by other authors.
So this is not to write this is your issue but check out the PC's HDD maker. If it's a Seagate, may want to clone it while you can.
Hello, my computer have been have this problem of from working fine, to an automatic windows update, and when it finishes and restarts. I am given a screen saying "Scanning and repairing harddrive (C)." Go to the blue screen of death. And then a restart, and into automatic repair. This have been the trend for a few months now, and the problem always shows up when window has its mandatory update. I tried searching online but I didnt find any forums talking about this
