Drug dealer, there the ice is broken.

Oh yeah

the dealer is on every street corner but is unfortunately not "Charming" enough yet.

For old addicts with a PC, need a customization tool or reg tweak to restore Start button to where it always has been and should be and menus are alphabetical and hierarchical. Enough of the millennial fruit dope. Occupy Redmond until they surrender!

Did you notice the PC on the Windows 8 chief's desk?

It was an Apple. I can't find the shot but let's see if you can.

Have you heard the one about sending accountants to planets contemplating building a Death Star or Interplanetary travel?

Here you have an Apple user designing the next Windows interface.

Or are they are a "plant" from Apple?

Cost of Death Star
Mar 1, 2012 11:31PM PST

Well since you asked, they have already started planning the Death Star.

M$ has had a thing about copying what Apple does. The sad thing about Windows 8 is going to be the marketing of it. I have noticed a tread of claiming that those who do like it are old and out of touch people who just do not get it. They are not hip or cool and must be shamed into silence. In the end no matter how bad it is it will sell because the puter manufactures will have no choice but to install it and promote it. Remember Vista sold hundreds of millions of copies simple by being the only thing M$ would allow manufacture to install. They did not get it right until they released SP2 and so many people suffered because of that. Sells of puters during Vista fell close to 25% which caused M$ to rush to strip it, fix the problems and rename it Windows 7.

In the end the only thing I care about is will they allow us to disable Metro. I keep reading that we will be able to turn it off but that is not the same as disabling it. If those who wish can go to services and completely disable it and boot right to what they are claiming is a Windows 7 like environment will be a good thing. I doubt that will happen but I can still have hope for a little common sense to take hold.

other than the question, "cnet, when will a W8 forum start?" I haven't understood anything of the posts in this thread.

To answer your question, probably not yet and not until retail versions are available.

If anyone is running the beta version, (or called the Consumer Preview), they have the option to contact Microsoft themselves with bugs and problems during the testing.

i have read the article and that man has really good point.

and this is nice I got:

Microsoft will not attempt to "kill the desktop" or the desktop PC, but desktop users will have to accept that we're bit players in someone else's universe now — much in the same way that PC gamers now play second fiddle to the sofa-surfing console gamer.
