download EasyBCD and install it. Then run EasyBCD to edit the boot information, it's the easiest way to go.
This isn't that big of deal, just find it strange.
So Did a Clean install of Windows 7 Pro Over my XP (formatted the XP partition). Before this I had XP (which was installed first) and Vista Ultimate. I assume when I installed Vista that it took over the boot loader.
So I install Windows 7 Pro worked just fine.
I then go to switch to Vista, and Vista is not listed. So I know I need to fix the boot loader. (For Vista they said to put in the Vista DVD). But I already have the Windows 7 in the drive so I boot to it.
I click on the Fix an error link and the program starts scanning. It prompts and says it has found an error with my start up or booting or something and it can try to fix it. So I let it.
It boots, and it brings back my Vista option. But the strange thing is now it says "Vista Ultimate (Recovered)" I can't figure out for the life of me why it would say Recovered as part of the Boot options. More how can I change this title? I assume this is somewhere in the system? Any idea?
