windows 7 -UPS- power options

There is no UPS option available in power options of windows 7.it's something different from windows xp.I can able to shutdown my pc if the ps working in UPS battery in windows xp.but i can't do the same in windows 7.i think this is disadvantage in windows 7?any solution?

you'll need to download software from your ups vendor

look for win7 software or look for a vista version of the ups management software.

yes.i downloaded the software for that.but it says there is no connectivity found between pc and ups so unable to install that.my UPS connected to serial port with my pc.

I had a serial port issue.

In my case MSFT didn't supply the right USB to RS232 driver. Back to old school to find the drivers.
