Windows 7 STARTER Account Types

Mar 28, 2010 2:51AM PDT

This OS seems to only allow the usual Administrator account and a "Guest" account. What happened to "Standard" account? There is no provision for modifying the privileges of the Guest account. The Guest account seems to NOT be permitted to access wireless home router. It will not even respond to a click for:

Control Panel --> Newwork and sharing --> Connect To a Network

The admistrator connects just fine automatically.

The only options for account modification are:
1) Change the picture
2) Turn off the Guest account

This is the stripped down model of the OS. I think you are expecting features that are in the big versions?

I believe that's normal for the guest account

I don't have Starter but Win7 Pro and can create a limited account. Did you look for that?
