Question

windows 7 security message appears repeatedly

Oct 16, 2014 10:55PM PDT

my mom uses a machine with win7 home premium.
every day, after booting the machine, for a few times, a windows security message window appears and says :
"this page is using fonts that have to be installed.
usually it is safe to do it. would you like to enable downloading these fonts ? YES/NO "

(it is a free translation, as the message appears in my mom's native language)

in the beginning we thought that it happens just after login in into Skype, but now she says that it appears also when no using Skype.
the thing is that wether we choose YES or No, it will appear again after few minutes.

i am a linux user usually, so i am not familiar with win7.

anybody can help me please ?

thnx,
doronbar

Answer
To Prevent The Prompt From Coming Up Again.....Do This.
Oct 17, 2014 9:26AM PDT

Open Internet Explorer, then click on "Tools" in the upper left, then select "Internet Options". Once there, select the "Security" tab, highlight the "Internet" icon (the blue "world"), then click on the "Custom Level" button. At the next window, scroll to the "Downloads" section and UNCHECK the "Prompt" options next to "Font Download", then select "Disable". (Disable is the safest, but if you want, you can select "Enable" which will automatically install any problems fonts in the future.) Now click on "Apply, then OK.

Hope this helps.
