It's the same answer as before. Install the programs as you need them from their install CD or web.
I want to upgrade from XP to Windows 7 on a modern hardware system which will support the latter. I have read oodles of articles but can't seem to get a clear picture other than a "clean install". What does that mean? Shall I buy a new hard disk and format it prior to installing Windows 7? I know I have to reload all my data files, but what about the programs? I would simply like to copy all my files to the new disk, but how do the programs get into the W7 registry without loading/installing each program separately? How do I transfer registry items from my current XP hard drive to the w7 registry.
