Question

Windows 7 Ram usage

Aug 28, 2018 6:01AM PDT

Hi, so I installed my new Windows 7 and when I installed every driver that there was needed I checked if everything is working fine and everything was great but I'm seeing the first time that my 8GB RAM is being shown as 6.96 usable. I know that it could be that the Windows 7 is taking some ram ( around2gb ram) however windows 7 is using that 6.96GB which is usable and the rest isn't even being used. I have already turned off the integrated graphics card.

What are you talking about and where are you seeing this?

The reduction seems to still happen

With IGP disabled. I've seen this before and if I'm lucky there is a BIOS setting to reduce the use. Not all machines has this and the make, model was omitted so I can only share this and that disabling the IGP is not always the right move.
