I had this happen and as is typical for Microsoft it started to work after I uninstalled it. Download it again and re-install.

Running Toshiba Satellite S55-A5326 Windows 7 Pro 64 bit with an Intel - i7 processor. When I try to open Skype in stops immediately on the blue window, but totally blank. The computer is several weeks old,with few programs on it. Running Windows Explorer that came with the S55.
Is there a simple way to fix this problem? .
(I'm a little suspect of the fix instructions at Skype as I'm ignorant of programming in DOS; it's been to long. (I'm a professional guitarist that gives lessons cross-country via Skype.) Skype's instructing me to go to the DOS prompt and changing Java Script details: typing in such as: cd c:\winddows\syswow64 and regsvr32 jscript.dll , regsvr32 jscript9.dll . I feel I need to set up an earlier recovery date should this evolve into a trainwreck.)
Any help greatly appreciated by all you knowledgeable experts. I'm lost here.
