Notepad starting up!

To resolve your popup issue try this :

* Double Click on My Computer.
* Select Folder Option > View Tab.
* Under the View Tab select Show hidden files and folders.
* And also select Hide protected operation system files.
* Now you will be able to see the hidden destop.ini files.
* Open Windows 7 start orb and at the search type: shell:startup and press Enter.
* Inside the startup folder deleted the desktop.ini file

Now restart your computer. It will not appear again.

Also, try this if the first one doesn't work!

Normally the notepad is popping up due to the destop.ini file created in Windows 7 startup folder.
You will need to manually delete the file to stop this.
Try this.
Go My computer and select the Folder Option tab under Tools.
Or You can also select it from Start Menu > Control Panel > Folder Option.
Under Folder Option Uncheck Hide protected operating system files to view the hidden desktop.ini file.
Now open My computer and navigate to the following tree:
C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup
Delete the desktop.ini file.
After go to C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Window s\Start Menu\Programs\Startup
Delete any desktop.ini if present.
Restart your computer.

I hope this helps!

hey, alot of people are having this problem.

i did too untill i figured out what was wrong with mine, this possibily may not be the same issue as yours but give it a go.

with mine if you pressed three fingers on the laptop touchpad it triggers a shortcut to open notepad super quick. many people just rest thair hands on the touchpad and notepad would open, then the user would freak out like "but i didnt do anything!" ha. give it a go lemme know.

HI Kiwi

yeah i heard that helps some people but thats not the same issue as what i have

but i did some research and i found out that the notepad opening issue is glitch with Microsoft home premium note pad opening has got something to do with the way the CPU processes information

in my case an others with this issue theres not much that can be done except keep closing the note pad when it pops up until u get a new PC

in any case what do u mean by if you pressed three fingers on the laptop touch pad

no idea how to do that but would like to know just as a matter of interest

thanks
