Windows 7 Media Player not working - please advise

May 14, 2010 12:46PM PDT

TOSHIBA LAPTOP STATS: Operating System Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit CPU Type Intel Core i3-330M(2.13GHz) Screen 16" Memory Size 4GB DDR3 Hard Disk 500G

Let me first say that my computer literacy is minimal at best. Anyway I used Windows Media Center to stream TV shows on my new Toshiba (about a wk old) which worked great until I installed updated drivers for my outdated printer (Lexmark Z715) and scanner (HP Scanjet 4070). I don?t know if the printer and scanner drive installation is the cause but that's the last thing I installed before Windows Media Center stopped working. I?ve tried system restore which didn?t work but haven?t tried anything else yet. The only other software I installed was AVG and Malwarebytes. I'd also like to note that I haven't run Malwarebytes which is still in setup mode on the desktop. Keep in mind I?m a beginner at this kind of stuff and am hoping someone will provide me with some "layman" advise. Any and all responses would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you kindly and best regards to all!
