Question

Windows 7 issues

Jul 14, 2016 4:34PM PDT

Hi so im not the best with tech but im not stupid when it comes to it but ive run into a big problem with Windows 7 and just my computer overall. Here are the main issues:

1; The games that i run on my computer are crashing all the time, i dont understand why but they are. If im not running of off steam (a game site) they will crash on opening on half way though playing.

2; I cannot restore to factory settings, (ive been wanting to do this for a few reasons but that will come in later) when trying to 'Recover system settings or your computer' it says some stuff about not having the required files and i need an installation disk, i understand that if i wanted to restore it i would have to buy a disk but i though there was some way around i tried going into the bios settings area and all sorts of things and still nothing on restoring my computer.

So there the main issues but here is something that is quite important, im currently on windows 7 and i wanted to update to windows 10 but it said something about abite mode and after reading about it online it said that it could be fixed by deleting one file, stupidly i followed this and ****** up my computer, sorta. I had to run though safe mode to get back onto my account and little things have just been poping up annoying me after doing this, example of this is my google chrome is messed up and tabs dont show unless on a 'new tab'. I dont know if this has any relevance to the two issues but only after doing this has problems with my computer started. Im about to go out and buy a windows 7 or 10 installation disk as ive just given up. If anyone has any tips or understands what my issue is then any help would be appreciated.

Sorry for having bad spelling and bad grammar, and thank you.

Clarification Request
I can't find the machine make and model.

Many of these have us create restore media. So that's my answer. Create the restore media and use that to reset the PC.

As Windows 10, I never had to delete any files to do an upgrade.

A google could save us from repeating the web.

Can you reveal the make and model so we can be specific about how to create the restore media?

Look in your manual and see if it talks about factory restore.
How to run it and also how to create factory restore media.

If no help contact the maker of your machine and see if you can buy the media.
It's usually not expensive.

I made the restore media on Win7. Later I needed to restore but used the recovery partition. This gave me the option to make the restore media again so now I have two.

Consider upgrading to Windows 10 and using ClassicShell to let it look like Windows 7.
