I never format my drive prior to installing Windows. I can derail the installer. My best installs are to a BLANK HDD with no partitions. I let Windows use that and it will partition and format it properly.
Now that Windows is installed we begin the same old driver hunts for motherboard, video, audio, and the newer helper apps for the SDD (most of the time that Intel RST app.)
Your machine's maker should have what you need to install. I can't guess what you need exactly but supplied the usual above.

So I wanted to upgrade from windows xp to windows 7, xp worked great but wanted 7. So I formated my SDD and installed windows 7, after installation windows starts normally, after I update or install anything (I have tried this meny times) after reboot, just the background is visible!!
I have tried 2 different windows installations and the memory test doesn't show any problem. When i start windows in safe mode it starts and works.
When just the background appears I dont se the cursor when I press ctr+alt+del the screen becomes black and the background returnes if I press enter.
I really dont know what to do, if someone can help me it would be fantastically appreciated.
