Windows 7 has a "sleep" problem

Aug 26, 2010 5:49AM PDT

My new computer, with windows 7 installed, refuses to wake up from "sleep". Basically, I have to re-boot. The computer manufacturer's tech told me this is a "known problem" with windows 7. Has anybody else experienced this problem?

...in our case, we change the setting so "Sleep" and "hibernation" are not an option. Over the years, we've had so many problems with "Standby" and "Sleep" options, we know longer use them.

Hope this helps.

Well.....this machine running win 7 does not seem to have this known problem.

Latest drivers all around?

Latest bios?

I doubt it's a win 7 issue.....or maybe my machine is broke.
