No offense, but it's SUPPOSED to be complicated and technical. That's the whole point. Certifications are supposed to prove that you have some baseline of knowledge. If you do not possess this knowledge, you shouldn't be certified.

It's not a big deal though, just keep studying until you do learn it. Maybe it takes a little longer, but the alternative is that you fail your certification test and have to retake it, leaving you out however much money each test costs. Take your time, make sure you're ready.

It took me nearly a month of daily study to really feel like I was ready for my Apple Certified Machintosh Technician exams. That's with having been tinkering with computers for probably at least a decade by that point. So I already had a pretty good foundation to build on, but there was still a lot I had to learn. And different people learn at different paces, so if it takes you 2 months, don't worry about it. Better to take the time YOU need rather than try and hold yourself to someone else's standards.
