Windows 7 empty recycle bin

Dec 26, 2009 12:47PM PST

When I go and empty the recycle bin the dialog box comes up and I click on yes. Sounds like it emptied but when I open the bin nothing had been deleted. HELP!

Refresh?

Have you refreshed the recycle bin? Normally you dont have to, but sometimes you may have to.
Or just close and reopen it
OR: restart.

Another idea.

If refreshing the view (tap f5) doesn't do it, click on the item once then tap the delete key.

Windows 7 empty recycle bin

Windows 7 Home Edition

I'm a Macintosh user in a Windows 7 computer!

Tried the suggestions but still end up with the recycle bin not empty. Downloaded a program called 'Trashx" which would delete one file one at a time. I have over 200 files that need to be deleted. Still need help!

Thanks!
