We found the boot repair failed so we slipped in a new HDD then used Asus's recovery discs to bring it back. The old HDD was put into an USB case so the owner could fish out their files.
Update? The HDD fails diagnostics so my bet is that is why we couldn't repair the boot area.
Widows 7 won't boot repair, says first back up data. command to overcome this?
I am attempting to boot my laptop (ASUS X501A) with a bootable USB with windows 7...
but it just says that I need to back up the data first then it aborts the boot operation.
Is there any way I can enter or edit the command before running the boot to make it just format memory before performing the boot?
or just make it boot regardless of the memory?
The laptop refused to connect to the internet, so I am just typing out the information on the boot so as to get more accurate advice I suppose.
