General discussion

Windows 7 and internet connection.

May 7, 2010 11:29AM PDT

I have recently updated from XP to Windows 7 and for some unexplained reason now I have a problem accessing the internet. I have put in a new network adaptor just in case the old one was on it's way out but still I have the problem. Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this problem and how they fixed it.

you may have to set the wireless connection up again.

But details are short here.

My service is satellite and I can get it working by uninstalling the network adaptor and then searching for it again, but this has to be done each time I start the computer, not impossible just annoying

trouble activating

thank you for your suggestions. (sorry to take so long to reply). the problem ended up being that instead of a retail copy being sold to me it was a MSDN? either way the key I had could not activate it and I was refunded my money. I now have a retail copy and it is just great.
Thanks to all
