Resolved Question

Windows 7 & 8

by JSFZ / August 23, 2013 9:27 AM PDT

I purchased a new MACPRO, installed paralles then I bought Windows 8 because my version of XP is so old I am not to get service pack 3. Not realizing that Windows is not full blown stand alone product. I discovered this when I tried to install a program that only works in a PC. I due own a version of Windows 7 that came with my old PC but it doesnot have an authorization code. Any idea as to what I might try? If I install my version of XP then run the windows 8 will that work?

What's up with the Windows 8 you have. The versions I see at the store have been full versions HOWEVER Microsoft has demanded that we get the Pro versions (XP, 7 and Cool for use in VM systems. Most folk I know ignore it and don't ask, don't tell.

One of the best French door fridges we've tested

A good-looking fridge with useful features like an auto-filling water pitcher and a temperature-adjustable "FlexZone" drawer. It was a near-flawless performer in our cooling tests.
