This story makes it sound like an upgrade is not possible. And installing a driver for 7 in Vista is well, who would write that works?
Thoughts? Pester the computer maker for the OS upgrade procedure and if that fails, get ready for a clean install.

I am trying to upgrade from Vista 64-bit to Windows 7 64-bit, but I strike trouble near the end of the installation process when the screen just blacks and I can see nothing. I can't finish the installation due to this. When I install the Windows 7 driver in Vista it causes the computer to 'have issues'. Can someone please give me some advice?
P.S. It is a core i7 machine.
