Question

Windows 10 watching movies on Amazon Prime

Jul 8, 2016 6:19PM PDT

Since installing Windows 10 from 8.1 my Toshiba computer will not play the movies provided by Amazon Prime using Windows IE. I had previously had watched movies from Netflix using Google Chrome. I couldn't watch these on Windows IE. We had interference with Google Chrome and the incompatibility with Windows 10. So we then uninstalled the Google Chrome. The tech support person from Amazon told us to re-install Google Chrome and now all we get is saying that GC is corrupt. Now we are back to square one and cant watch movies on either operating system. All updates are up to date using Windows 10. Thank you for any help you can give. Seems like Windows 10 is just a nightmare that we shouldn't have been involved with in the first place.

As I have a fresh laptop with W10, it's pretty basic. Testing.

Well, it just worked. Are there any messages?
Are you using something other than Windows Defender?

yes, thank you for your kind help. We are running Malwarebytes and Bitdefender. Do we need to shut one of these down ?

Malwarebytes should be OK.
