This sounds like one of the old Windows issues I saw in prior versions. That is, when we install Windows there are a lot of things to work out later. Things like motherboard drivers, wifi, sound, video and on today's gear what I call "Helper apps" that turn on/off wifi, set sound levels and even control battery charging options.
Given there are now thousands of variations on the PC design we head back to the maker's site to see what drivers and apps are supplied.
Hey so after I upgraded to Windows 10, I have been having several problems and I'd like to try to resolve one if possible. I have an HP Elitebook8560p. If I turn on the computer from sleep without the battery plugged in, everything is normal. If I turn the computer on after sleep with the battery charging, it's almost as if the contrast is completely dark. I have been putting it back to sleep and re-resuming with the battery plugged in to fix the problem. Everything is normal after that, unless if the charger gets unplugged. If it gets unplugged, everything is fine until I try to plug it back in, in which case I will have to do the whole sleep cycling thing again. Anyone have any ideas or suggestions? I have tried to mess with the power options a bit, but I don't know exactly.
